You could join Book Crossings so that you can pass on books you’ve finished reading along the way. And if you’re looking for something to read, stop at a thrift store instead of buying new.

Also, if you are eating out and there are single-use packets, like creamers, ketchup, jam, sugar, ask the staff whether they throw them out once they’ve been on your table. Most places do (health concerns), so take them with you.
